The Things We Find in Books, Chapter 2

As mentioned previously, FOL volunteers spend every Tuesday morning sorting the donated books that make their way into the library bookstore or FOL pop-up book sales. And we continue to find things that have been left in donated books.

A recent sampling turned up a Russian song book dated 1938, a fancy red satin bookmark from a funeral home in Georgia, a postcard featuring Calamity Jane, and a reproduction of an 1863 one dollar bill from Florida. What treasures!  While nothing here is valuable, it certainly is fascinating to see what  people place inside their books.

I wonder what we’ll find next. Stay tuned…..!
