The Gathering Success
The Friends of the Library held their Annual Gathering at the White Horse on Wednesday, July 19. Refreshments were served before the business session. New officers for 2023-24 were introduced; volunteers of the month and business sponsors were recognized, and annual reports were given.
The local Upbeats Ukulele Band performed and debuted a music video of the Ballad of Black Mountain composed by its director David Howarth.
More than 120 Friends and guests enjoyed the variety of music performed by the Upbeats. The evening ended with a sing-along to The Ballad of Black Mountain. The Friends appreciate the support of the community during this past year!
