May Volunteer of the Month
May flowers bring us Sandra Jakeway as our FOL Volunteer of the month. Sandra is all about flowers and sunshine with her smile, energy and focus to get things accomplished. Sandra spent her first 60 years in Tampa, Florida before moving to Black Mountain with her husband Wayne. Retired with a son and daughter and “Gram” to four grandchildren, Sandra enjoys traveling and spending time with the family.
Sandra fell in love with books in elementary school and spent hours in the local bookmobile every summer. During the first 10 months of Covid lockdown, she read 100 books! Christian fiction and historical fiction are her favorite genres.
Sandra volunteers as a member of the FOL Board to support our town library and its excellent services. Thanks, Sandra for your volunteer work to support our Black Mountain Library!
