March Volunteer of the Month
Brent Carroll is our FoL Volunteer for March. Thanks to Brent, the Friends of the Black Mountain Library have an awesome website and our technical capabilities continue to grow.
After serving in the Navy for 20 years, Brent retired and then signed up with the federal government, working for the US Coast Guard as a civilian for some years after that. After a short stint in the private sector, he then decided to slow things down a bit and retire with his better half Cate Crane (yes, our FOL Secretary) in Black Mountain.
In addition to volunteering with us, Brent runs a small business to help other local businesses with website development. In his free time, he enjoys photography, being a motorcycle safety rider coach, ham radio, and tinkering in the garage. Most of his time is spent, however, either traveling with Cate or planning their next big adventure together. Thanks, Brent, for your support of FoL!
