Did you know that the Black Mountain Library has a magazine exchange and community bulletin board located near the back entrance? We call it the Community Corner and are seeking a volunteer to assist our Library Staff in keeping this area neat, clean and organized.
To that end, we are searching for a volunteer who enjoys organizing to regularly (probably twice a month) check and organize the community corner.
– Tasks will include sorting magazines and removing/recycling non-magazine materials such as newspapers & misplaced books in the Magazine Exchange Area. Magazines in the exchange for more than a month could be removed and recycled.
– To assist our Librarians with the Community Bulletin Board, the volunteer will date signs and remove them after a month plus remove outdated signs for events or programs that have occurred. The volunteer is welcome to arrange bulletin board material so that the area is neat and the board is readable.
