In addition to the library bookstore and hosting book sales, the Black Mountain FOL also raises funds by selling books online. Our Etsy store, FOLBlackMountain (www.etsy.com/shop/FOLBlackMountain), has sold 450 books since it opened in 2020. In 2021 alone, the store raised $9,000 by selling only vintage and collectible books. Clearly, this is a successful tool for raising funds for our library.
However, we have a big challenge. There are currently only two FOL volunteers who sell books online, yet the inventory of vintage and collectible books is huge. More help is needed!
If you have interest in assisting with this project, we will help you get started! You don’t need experience in online selling — you only need to be comfortable using either your laptop, tablet, or smartphone. We’ll guide you through the process and get you going in the right direction.
