April 2024 Volunteer of the Month
When you join FOL, you receive a thank you note hand-written by our April Volunteer of the Month – Sara Hill. Sara writes all of FOL’s thank you notes by hand to new members every month as they join. She was on the FOL Board for several years and served as the liaison with Givens Highland Farms. Sara was a clinical social worker and also spent 20 years teaching quilting at AB Tech. She shared her love of quilting by teaching beginners. Sara and her friend Sharron Armel made the Sunshine Quilt located in the children’s section of the library. Sara continues to make quilts for Project Linus, an organization providing blankets and quilts to children in need. With 90 years of life experience, Sara continues to be an enthusiastic library and FOL supporter.
