Rockin’ N’ Rollin’ at the Holiday Parade

This year the Black Mountain Library will be rockin’ n’ rollin’ into the holidays at the annual holiday parade on December 2nd at 5:00 pm. The Holly Jolly theme this year is the “little town that rocks” and we’ll be doing a little twist and shout around a very special Christmas tree to roll into the theme.

Our jolly elves will be passing out candy and our FOL volunteers and librarians will be transported back in time for some 1950’s nostalgia.  Kristie Bergna, a new volunteer to FOL and a relatively new town resident, is coordinating the float decorations and will be thrilled to have you join the fun!

Would you like to help paint and decorate the float? Walk in the parade? Help break down the float? We’ve got plenty of volunteer opportunities for you. Sign up here to volunteer. Kristie and her husband James moved to town in July 2022 and love being involved in town events, hiking with their two dogs, and watching sunrises over the mountains.

Last year, the Library celebrated 100 years of service to the community. This year, we’ll be stepping back in time to the 1950s
