Our February Volunteer of the Month
Our February Volunteer of the Month is Linda Brinson. Linda not only volunteers at FOL events, she also is a new member of the Board. Linda works hard, volunteers often and her smile lights up a room.
Linda was born in Mississippi and moved to this area in 1988. She later traveled across the United States working as a CNA and in 2015 she returned to Black Mountain. Linda is a licensed Certified Dementia Practitioner and Activity Director and works as Activity Director/Event Coordinator at the North Carolina State Veterans Home. She somehow manages to do all this and find time to volunteer with Friends. Her energy, quiet calmness, and experience are wonderful attributes for our active organization. Linda loves helping people, enjoys volunteering with FOL and she encourages young people to increase their interest in reading. And of course, Linda enjoys reading!
